Cut & Paste – Volumes 3 & 4

10 Feb

Well here we are again with my friend Ashley and I’s little art journaling journey.

I’m really enjoying the process of this. I’ve been trying to set aside my Sunday afternoons for some much needed creative me-time and, so far, I’ve found it so SO great.

.

This page was fun. I started with doodling on a page I ripped out of a favourite catalogue and wrote down a few of my favourite things, then added more to it as other things I love popped into my head throughout the week.

.

It may sound strange but I had been saving this cardboard tissue box specifically to use for art-journaling at some point (you’d be surprised how many collected papers/ephemera I’ve accumulated over the past couple years) so I finally dug it out! I added some of these great Japanese masking tape stickers, stapled on a random piece of ribbon and glued down some paper doilies.

So there you have it!  Happy Friday and don’t forget to check out Ashley’s pages here.

30 Days of Lists

5 Feb

Image

So, in addition to my daily photo project and (bi-)weekly art-journaling project,  yesterday I signed up to do a “30 Days of Lists” project… which – again – is basically what I already do anyway, this will just be – again – with special prompts… and with sharing (which – again – I’ve never been good at, until recently).

Should be fun/interesting!  It officially starts March 1st. Care to join?

Valentine’s Date

If I was going somewhere a little fancy for v-day I would definitely be wearing something like this little outfit I put together on Polyvore – featuring one of my favourite colour combinations; red and turquoise.

Guess what starts tomorrow

31 Jan

Are you joining in?
